Previously, we went on a “Kitty hunt” while in Odaiba and got sprayed pretty bad.
We were at Venus Fort & there was this little space in Palette Town that’s dedicated to Hello Kitty & all her friends from Sanrio.
Anyways.. After going back to get a change of clothes, finally reached Sanrio Puroland…on closing time!!
We decided to make up for it another day and today’s the day!!
This is a continuation of my previous post: “Hunt for the Kitty“.

Will Hello Kitty be home this time?
We make our way there now…
A quick and cheap meal at the nearby “Depachika” ought to do the trick.
“Depachika” (a combination of “depato”, meaning department store, and “chika”, meaning basement) – That’s where the food’s at.
Sanrio Puroland is an indoor theme park located in Tama New Town, Tokyo, Japan that attracts over 1.5 million visitors per year.
The theme park is run by the Sanrio company, and hosts various musicals, restaurants, attractions, and theme rides using popular characters such as Hello Kitty, My Melody, Badtz Maru, Cinnamoroll, Kerroppi, Jewelpet and many more.
It has some (very child friendly) rides and areas to explore; filled to the brim with Sanrio characters.
While many of these attractions are only in Japanese, Puroland attracts many visitors from overseas as well as Japan because of the worldwide popularity of these characters. Puroland also has an extensive gift shop selling Sanrio character merchandise.
Want to see your kids jump with joy?
Sanrio Puroland has a park-full of activities planned for families.
Visitors during the summer months will be able to see fireworks on a daily basis.
The park also includes a boat ride similar to It’s a Small World in which Cinnamorroll leads riders on a boat to a party that’s being held by Hello Kitty…
Make sure to take your kids to the colorful (read: Pink) Kitty’s House which includes Renaissance style portraits of her family, fancy furniture and a bath-tub shaped like her face, and displays of her purses and jewelry.
This is where you can click pictures with your favorite Sanrio character.
The park has three theaters—the Fairyland Theater, the Discovery Theater and the Marchen Theater. All of them host popular plays, live acts and other events. It also includes themed attraction areas like: candy, ice-cream, bread, juice, and chocolate factories.
Bread & Juice Factories.
This indoor theme park has many activities for children of all age groups.
In the late afternoon, all characters take part in a lovely parade.
The main star of the parade: Hello Kitty herself!
This popular and not to mention; extravagant Sanrio parade is a spectacle not to be missed and is a great way to end the day.
These shows are of a high standard, with live acting and singing.
Not to mention, the cute merchandise you can purchase after!
Sanrio Puroland is the kind of place where you have a smile on your face all day, until it hurts. You simply cannot help it.
This place never fails to trip the living crap outta me!!
Have you woken up from your dreams yet?
