I’ve been tagged for a Blogger Recognition Nomination, by the wonderful Eve Estelle who runs the website of:
Been extremely busy lately so, quoting Eve – here’s a little gist of what’s it about, taken from her website.
But before I begin, for all my followers out there…
I’m sure you all know how my blog began..
It all started at www.ColorfulExistence.com. Back then, it was a guide for visiting, travelling & living in Japan. As time passed it expended and slowly covered more and more countries – as we traveled to different corners of the world.
30 countries (and 1 more kid) later, JoshuaHideki.com was born. As more bandwidth and space was needed, we also needed a professional platform to make navigating the menus for different countries easier for you.
So then, it was bye bye blogger and if you’re reading this, thank you for following me to http://JoshuaHideki.com =)
If you’re a new visitor and wish to know more about me, feel free to check out the “About Me” section!
Since we migrated here, all posts have been imported from the old site and from now onwards; JoshuaHideki is our new & permanent site, so stay tuned for future updates here!
Below this picture, is the description and instructions on what to do, what this award is all about.
“Blogging has changed our world. Like the Internet as a whole, it’s changed the way we communicate, exchange information, and simply how we spend our time. People of all kinds, from nearly any country, of nearly any social or political status, can create a blog and work their way into having a dedicated readership, or just experiment with the freedom it gives. Celebrities, world leaders, your next-door neighbors, ordinary citizens—every single one of us has the chance to be heard. To be part of a global community. This is the blogosphere, the blogging world, and each individual blogger helps to make it what it is.
So, why not celebrate this wonderful thing? No, I’m not talking about a special day, month, or year dedicated to blogging. I’m not even talking about celebrating blogging. I am talking about celebrating the bloggers themselves. Because, without them, such a diverse, free and fun thing wouldn’t exist.
Now, how shall we celebrate? With an award, of course!
Yes. Aside from the Liebster Award, there are plenty of other things like the Versatile Blogger Award for example, out there. But, in my opinion at least, there can never be too many. Why? Because these little awards are a small gesture of goodwill that have a big impact on the people who receive them.
When you say, “Hey! I’ve nominated you for so-and-so award! Congrats!” and give one of these simple little pictures to a fellow blogger, you’ve probably just made that person’s day. You’ve inspired them to keep writing posts. You’ve given their confidence a little boost, and helped to make them feel that they are a part of this community. You’ve made them happy by being generous and showing your appreciation. There’s nothing better than that.
So, when you start thinking these awards are silly, or that they’re just annoying chain letters with a good purpose, remember that they aid in keeping the spirits of bloggers high, and they can also help get them just a little bit more exposure. They’re also great for establishing relationships between blogs and their authors. All in all, these simple pay-it-forward awards do a lot of good for the community
With all of that said, how can you participate and do your part?
If you are nominated…
Select a minimum of 15 other blogs you want to give the award to. I suppose it’s possible if you want to nominate more than 15 people.Do some digging if you must! Find those blogs. You cannot nominate yourself or the person who has nominated you.
Write a post to show off your award! Give a brief story of how your blog got started, and give a piece or two of advice to new bloggers. Thank whoever nominated you, and provide a link to their blog. List who you’ve nominated in the post.
Make sure to also attach the award itself! (You can do this by right-clicking, saving, and uploading the image above).
Comment on each blog and let them know you’ve nominated them. Provide a link to the award post you created.
Provide a link to the original post on JoshuaHideki.com – That way, anyone can find the original guidelines and post if needed, and we can keep it from mutating and becoming confusing!
Below, in no specific order, are the nominations. Have fun, be creative, and if you have any questions, be sure to ask them!”
