✵ USS!

The final installment of our time here, in Singapore.
This is Day 5 & 6 in Singapore – USS!
Crusing the High Seas!
The events here in this post, take place 2 days before we boarded out cruise liner.
To see more of our cruise journey which i posted about previously, feel free to click the links below to see more!

So…in case you’re wondering why Day 5 & 6 are combined into one single post, the answer’s simple!!

We decided to spend two days in Universal Studios Singapore, before finally sailing away!

Universal Studios Singapore

Immerse Yourself in Seven Different Zones!

Enter the thrilling world of movie magic as you Ride the Movies on roller coasters and other movie-themed attractions.

Be dazzled and delighted by an immersive entertainment experience that brings the silver screen to life.

Frankly speaking though, this Universal Studios has a very different feel to the Universal Studios we have back in Japan.

There’s nothing wrong with being different. In fact, different is good, I like it…just that the park is a little small in comparison.

Step onto Hollywood Boulevard framed by dynamic architecture, palm trees and the famous
Walk of Fame.

You will somehow feel as if you have landed in the center of the entertainment universe!

Monster Rock at Pantages Hollywood Theater
Featuring a 1,500-seat indoor theater fully equipped to host major Broadway musicals, come watch the infamous Universal monsters in this rock-n-roll musical.

Fitted with cutting-edge cinematic technology, including state-of-the-art digital projectors, this mega-monster spook-tacular features great music, dancing, comedy, special effects, and enough pyrotechnics to wake the dead.

New York

Feel the spirit and energy of America’s biggest and grandest city as you stroll along the sidewalks and enjoy all the classic landmarks.
Soak in the impressive city skylines, neon lights, and facades that set the scenes for big city fun and real-time movie production.

Lights, Camera, Action!

Hosted by Steven Spielberg

Be blown away by incredible special effects as an empty sound stage becomes the setting for a Category 5 major hurricane about to hit New York City.

As you stand in a boathouse by the harbor, watch how a calm day suddenly turns stormy.

Brace yourself as hurricane-force winds sweep in from the sea and drive a cargo ship and debris towards the boathouse you’re in.

Calm soon returns and the damaged boathouse restores itself, all thanks to movie magic.

Sci-Fi City

The city of the future has arrived. Through the impressive portals of Sci-Fi City you will experience the ultimate intergalactic battle of Good vs. Evil and visit a vibrant metropolis with all the ultimate modern conveniences.

Battlestar Galactica: HUMAN VS CYLON

Choose your side – HUMAN or CYLON – as you engage in the ultimate intergalactic battle between good and evil on the world’s tallest dueling roller coasters!

Themed after the hit television series Battlestar Galactica, these spectacular, intertwined coasters offer a truly exhilarating adventure as you twist, turn and drop in an intense aerial dogfight.

Riders on both coasters will experience unbelievable thrills as they race towards each other and nearly collide!

Battlestar Galactica: HUMAN
Zooming at speeds of 82.8 km/h, the HUMAN Viper Mark II is a seated coaster that propels you 14 storeys into the air while pursuing your enemy

Battlestar Galactica: CYLON

The CYLON Raider is a suspended roller coaster that will turn your world upside down as it runs through a vertical loop, corkscrew and cobra roll.

Test your intergalactic stamina and see if you can keep your wits about you while madly spinning on this whirling twirling attraction.

(No spinning again! At least, not right after your meal please!)

We simply love getting dizzy, but this was just…too mild!

Ancient Egypt
Ancient pyramids and obelisks stand fast against the sands of time as you are transported to 1930’s Egypt, the Golden Age of Egyptian Exploration.
Travel to an era when entire Pharaohs tombs were discovered- and their terrible curses unleashed.
Revenge of the Mummy

Plagued on all sides by huge fireballs, swarms of scarab beetles and an army of warrior mummies, all in total darkness.

Can you survive the awesome power of Imhotep’s curse or will you be entombed inside forever?

The Lost World

Divided into two themed areas: Jurassic Park and WaterWorld, this zone is for fans of the two blockbuster movies.

Visitors can then experience a dense tropical forest where dinosaurs lurk, and still getting to  watch death defying stunts filled with thrills and spills!

Canopy Flyer

Board your dino-proof flying vehicle as you enjoy a prehistoric bird’s eye view of Jurassic Park.

Far Far Away

Movie stars and talking donkeys… come experience the lifestyles of the rich and those in fairy-tales.

Guests will sure to be enjoying Shrek’s 4-D Adventure or sing along with everybody’s favorite steed at Donkey LIVE!

Shrek 4-D Adventure
Help save Princess Fiona in a totally in-your-face fairy tale adventure. Through the miracle of OgreVision you’ll see, hear, and actually FEEL the action right from your seat!

Join Princess Fiona, Shrek and Donkey on a honeymoon adventure that picks up where the Oscar-winning movie “Shrek” left off.

Through an original 3-D film, complete with jumps, bumps, bounces, air blasts and water spray that bring the action to life for each guest- with an extra dimension of special effects through the miracle of OgreVision glasses!

Enchanted Airways

Guests of all ages climb aboard Donkey’s beloved Dragon for a flight over Far Far Away and beyond.

At Enchanted Airways, a merry cast of fairy tale creatures — from the Three Little Pigs to the Big Bad Wolf, from Gingy to Pinocchio — forms part of a magical airline in the form of a junior coaster that serves destinations throughout the World of Shrek!

Based on the hit DreamWorks Animation film, Madagascar, this zone brings you to a dense tropical jungle, filled with strange and wonderful animals like lemurs and foosas.

King Julien’s Beach Party-Go-Round

King Julien, the self-appointed King of the Lemurs, spins guests round and round to the beat of high-energy dance music in this crazy carousel, sure to be a family favorite. At this festive beach scene, King Julien and the Lemurs are throwing a party for their favorite freaks from New York: Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Gloria the Hippo, and Melman the Giraffe.

Celebrity Cafe & Bakery

This 1950’s cafe serves freshly made gourmet sandwiches, coffees, pastries, and all day breakfast too!

This is where we had our lunch!
KT’s Grill
KT’s Grill is an authentic 1950’s New York Grill serving the best steaks, pastas and seafood in town.
And that’s where we had our dinner – the second day!!
*Burpss!! Pardon me!
That very night, we left for the pier where our ship was waiting for us.
Our journey continued from here on!!
Part 1 – All Aboard!
Part 2 – Set Sail!~
Part 4 – Sail Away!
